Ga_kingsland_projectCity leaders in Kingsland approved an agreement that might lead to a $350 million, 495- acre amusement resort on Interstate 95.

Epic Adventures Resort Kingsland could break ground in Camden County as soon as spring 2015.

Officials say the regional entertainment resort is expected to create 2,350 jobs.

The positions will be filled through the regional labor pool, according to officials.
The entertainment resort will be off Georgia 40, west of Exit 3 on I-95.

Tentatively, the venue will include a hotel, conference center, water park, go- cart track, miniature golf, zip line and ropes course. It may also have an outdoor amphitheater, bowling lanes, restaurants, theaters, shops and businesses.

“I’m optimistic,” city manager Lee Spell said. “We have taken a huge step forward. This is what the investors and lenders have been waiting on.”
The agreement must be finalized by the board of the city’s Community Improvement, but city leaders don’t anticipate any problems.
